April 22 – Tacoma Rotary South Community Action Meeting

April 25 – Public Safety Meeting

7:30pm to 8:45pm at the Bitter Lake Community Center. 

From City Councilwoman Cathy Moore's newsletter: "The recent homicides and shots fired on Aurora Avenue North are deeply concerning.  Police Chief Diaz, North Precinct Captain Aaagard, and Care Department Chief Smith will be on the panel.”  This is not a Rotary sponsored event.  But as community members who are concerned about North Aurora, it looks like this event will be a good one for us to attend.

May 7 – Stolen Youth – Not on Our Watch – Fundraising Luncheon

May 18 – Scarlet Road Fundraiser

Saturday at 6:30 in Bremerton https://scarletroad.org/restoringhope/   $50  Scarlet Road is a direct service provider to people exiting the sex trade in Kitsap County

​June 20 – Aurora Commons BBQ

4pm to 7pm.  Aurora Commons is a welcoming space for our unhoused neighbors to rest, prepare a meal, connect to resources and collectively create a healthy and vibrant community.  We seek to be a space for authenticity and conversation, to bring the wider community to the table to learn from one another, to be transformed by one another, and to embrace one another.
